Bill Bowers- Bill is our board account, and works for the accounting firm of Spieth, Bell, McCurdy & Newell in Cleveland, Ohio. A numbers man, Bill believes his gifts are to keep things simple and straightforward. Bill enjoyed his first visit to South Africa in June of 2011 and was moved by the work and vision that the Human Dignity Center had for the educational needs of the children of Area Q. Bill enthusiasm is contageous and his devotion to this work is inspiring.
John Bourisseau- John is retired from the world of high school counselor and has settled into retirement by graciously sharing his time among a number of interests, including our local historical society and his kid's sports schedules. Having visited South Africa twice and working at the HDC, John was most anxious to become part of Brick by Brick.
Ann Spataro- Currently living in Texas, Ann and her husband Fred have overseen projects for the kitchen at the HDC. They challenged their large family to donate funds in lieu of Holiday gifts to replace the ancient and inadequate stove and fridge used to prepare meals for the community. In 2008 the Spataros presented the Center with a beautiful set of new appliances. The kitchen feeds not only the children of the HDC but also provides literally thousands of meals to the hungry of Area Q.
Jackie Zielke- A middle school music teacher, Jackie has a heart for the children of the world and was quick to jump onboard with Brick by Brick to see what she could do for others. Wherever she goes, she loves to share music and has done so in South Africa during a trip. Jackie is also a Human Trafficking advocate with The Collaborative Initiative to End Human Trafficking located in Rocky River.
